Course Recommendations

Please note: This is a basic question set to help you determine which course is recommended. There can be a lot more to getting a license than these questions. If you are in doubt, please Contact us.

Also, please ensure you are eligible to enrol in the particular Q-Ride course. If in doubt, contact Department of Transport and Main Roads

One on one lessons – Choose “Book a service”.

Q-Rides – Choose “Book a class”. Only book if you have had some riding experience. If you need to learn how to ride, please look at either lessons or completing the Pre Learner Q Ride.

Bridging courses – Choose “Book a class”. Please do not book this course if you need to learn how to ride. This course is designed to fill the gaps in your knowledge before completing the RE or R Q Ride, not to teach beginners.

Extra Notes:
Please make sure you are comfortable with riding on the road before you book your restricted (RE) Q-Ride. This is not a “all in one, learn to ride and Q-Ride course”. Throughout the course you will be helped by the trainer, learning as you go, so don’t worry if you cannot do some manoeuvres at the time of enrolment. However, you should have some road riding experience. If you are not sure if you are ready to do the Q-ride course, I recommend coming along to a one hour group session.

On the day of the restricted (RE) and unrestricted (R) Q-Rides you will be required to be assessed as competent during a simulated road ride. If you are assessed as “not yet competent” you will not be able to do the road ride component. You will have to return for the road ride component at a later date and your own cost. There will be no refund.

A non refundable $150 deposit is required to secure your Q-Ride booking. See Terms and Conditions for more information.
